As a Calgary wedding photographer shooting in the fall, I had the privilege of documenting this October wedding this past year. Some wedding days feel like a deep breath but truly others feel like a joyful exhale followed by a very, veryyyy good party. Raynie and Marc’s October wedding at Pine Brook Golf Course in Calgary managed to be both. Their wedding day reflected years of shared history, connections and laying down roots together, and a love that has grown steadily and deeper over time. From the very beginning, this day felt rooted in intention, presence, and celebrating with the people who matter most.

Raynie and Marc have been together for years, and that sense of ease carried through every part of their wedding. They chose to celebrate alongside their closest family and friends, creating a day that felt relaxed, meaningful, and full of genuine connection. Every moment felt thoughtful and honest, from quiet conversations to laughter shared with longtime friends who have supported their relationship from the start.

Their October Pine Brook Golf Course wedding began warm and inviting, with soft autumn light settling over the tree tops. Raynie and Marc exchanged vows outdoors as clouds slowly moved in over the changing larches, with the Rocky Mountains in the background, and a light drizzle followed. The weather added to the atmosphere rather than taking away from it. As evening arrived, the skies opened and the rain turned into a full fall storm, setting the tone for an unforgettable night.

Inside, the celebration shifted into high gear. Raynie and Marc did not hold back, turning their reception into a true party. The dance floor stayed full, the energy stayed high, and the room was filled with joy and movement well into the evening, with many beers and even an dress change.
