On a crisp October evening, Dez and Kiersten- a hilarious, laidback and queer couple, joined me for an unforgettable photo session on the outskirts of Calgary near the green space of Griffith Woods. Against the backdrop of the quiet river bed, we celebrated their enduring love and the joy of being together.
Looking at my time with Dez and Kiersten, remembering how they spoke of their journey, encompassing years of long-distance challenges, making their bond even stronger makes me feel so many feelings. As a queer-friendly photographer in Calgary and Alberta, I always strive create a safe and inclusive space for all couples and to hold space for all humans as they are and just as they show up.
