When I first heard from Chelsea, and learned she was not only a bad ass photog herself, but that she was planning a surprise helicopter couples session for her partner Connor, I lost my shit. I was so excited to finally meet up with them after months of corresponding, planning and ultimately scheming haha. We met at Bow Lake, where the session started as any other would- and let me say that the view from there is absolutely unbelievable.
After we finished up the first part of the session, Chelsea and I planned to have them follow me to the "secondary location" that was a little bit of a drive but promised it would be totally worth it. 25 minutes later we showed up at Rockies Heli near Nordegg, AB and that was where the next portion of the session took off. Connor was totally surprised, completely in awe and I was so thankful to be there to capture it all. The wind was a bit much, it definitely wasn't balmy weather, but the views speak for themselves, and I hope the smiles on their faces speak for the kind of experience we all had- it really was next level. Worth noting though, that although the wind was unbelievable, it really was the only sound we heard while we were thousands of feet up. Being up that high allowed us this certain kind of quiet that is almost erie and unexplainable, alone on the top of a mountain in the Canadian Rocky Mountains is something I'll never forget doing with these two.

Elizabeth’s ability to capture emotion is what kept bringing our eyes back to her and I’m SO glad that we chose her to be our photographer.
Not only did she help us choose the best first location, she also helped me plan a surprise for my boyfriend {which was taking a Heli up into the mountains and doing our shoot there!!}. We even got lost along the way, with no cell signal and was quick to figure it out!! Needless to say, Elizabeth literally ended up spending the entire day with us!!! She made us feel at such ease during the shoot, like three friends just hanging out. She had sneak peeks to us within 12 hours and our entire gallery only a few short weeks later.
We LOVE our photos. Like, LOVE. We have a photo shoot at every location we visit and she’s hands down the best photographer we’ve worked with! I have our photos printed throughout the house and made an album for everyone in our family."
