COVID I TELL YA- THANK YOU YA BEAUTIFUL BEAST FOR PUTTING THESE TWO IN MY PATH. Svet said it best when she said to me, "Covid definitely did bring some positives into our lives and you are one of those." *cue crying Beth*
When I first heard from these globe trotting + teaching, scuba diving, popcorn loving babes I knew after the first phone call that we did in fact just become best friends amongst all the replanning that their wedding was under, moving it from Mexico to the unreal property of Jon's aunt out in Bragg Creek. I remember them both saying to me on the day of, after their first dance, that somehow even though it wasn't what they had originally envisioned, it was everything that they didn't know they needed. Tears on tears for how the day had come together and that after thinking the wedding was a wash for the year and that it would maybe need to be postponed until next year, emotions were so high as the day progressed; dress being put on, (before) first looks, ceremony, bridal party photos (we laughed so hard we cried) + how they held one another during their dance all gave me complete chills. Svetlana + Jon, I love ya hunnies and hope that this next year teaching back in Cairo is everything you needed, minus the COVID complications.
Here is to you guys, and to your love; because it was never ever cancelled. Congratulations to my new friends!
